Our Wedding

The truth about how Nick and Serena met is not one of those cinematic moments with fireworks or slow-motion glances. It started simply and somehow more magical. What began during a yoga class at their local climbing gym turned into two best friends who found true love. While everyone else was trying hard not to fall over, Nick proved he was surprisingly flexible. Casual conversation after class slowly turned into months of friendship. One adventure led to another: paddling off on kayaking adventures, camping under the stars, hiking every trail they could find, laughing through game nights, and tackling climbing trips together. Somewhere between the campfires and climbing ropes, they had found their counterpart in the other.One snowy evening, as Nick gave Serena a ride home, he finally admitted that he was completely in love with her. Being a gentleman, Nick asked for a kiss atop the "First Kiss" bridge in Tuckahoe, NY. Proving that sometimes the shortest bridge can lead to the biggest leap. They were on their way from trail mates to soulmates!From that moment on, the adventures only got bigger…They went on countless hikes through the Northeast and the mountains of Colorado and Washington. Bonded over their shared love of food, history, and culture while wondering the streets of England, Scotland, and Ireland. They discovered a whole new world and depths together as they became dive buddies for life! After the spontaneous weekend trip to Germany for the Taylor Swift concert, Serena knew she had found the man of her dreams. Wherever they traveled, they found that every map seemed to point to the same direction: toward each other.Trails are known to have difficult or rocky sections and life didn't hesitate to test the strength of their love. There were many times and trials where Nick and Serena were grateful to have the pillars of their friendship, love, family, and their faith in God to fall back on. A freak accident and the death of a loved one grew their connection deeper and helped shape the foundation of their love. Through every hardship, accident, sickness, and death, Nick and Serena stood by each other's sides…like they would forever and always.After completing their advanced scuba diving certification while overlooking Jamica's crystal blue waters, Nick got down on one knee and askedhis best friend to spend forever with him.Then came the easiest "yes" of all plus some happy tears. The celebration continued with a private dinner on the beach, where the sunset was beautiful- but not nearly as beautiful as the future they were dreaming about.Today, their home is filled with laughter, travel plans, hiking boots by the door, and two wonderfully spoiled cats (Antonio and Bailey) who are convinced every adventure should revolve around them. Looking back, it turns out the greatest climb wasn't up a mountain at all…. it was the journey from friends to forever. And if their story has taught them anything, it's that life is always better when they keep choosing each other, one adventure at a time.
